- No archdiocesan test date. Frassati Catholic in Spring is the only Houston-area Catholic high school confirmed to give the HSPT for 2027 entry; register on its website ($50). The other major schools use the ISEE: Strake Jesuit and St. John XXIII give it on campus October 31, 2026 and January 9, 2027; St. Thomas on November 14, 2026 and January 9, 2027; St. Pius X on November 14, 2026 and January 16, 2027; Incarnate Word Academy on January 9, 2027. Register for the ISEE at erblearn.org about three weeks ahead. Cristo Rey Jesuit requires no entrance exam. source

Common questions
Do Houston Catholic high schools use the HSPT?
Only Frassati Catholic in Spring, which gives the HSPT on campus on January 9 and January 23, 2027 for $50 and also accepts the ISEE. Strake Jesuit, St. Thomas, St. Agnes, St. Pius X, St. John XXIII, Incarnate Word, and Duchesne all require the ISEE instead, and Cristo Rey Jesuit requires no exam.
When should a Houston student take the ISEE instead?
Most Houston schools share on-campus ISEE dates in late October, mid-November, and on January 9, 2027, with St. Pius X also offering January 16. Register at erblearn.org about three weeks before the date you want.
